Whites |
| Candlelight |
Our Candlelight is
made primarily from the Chardonel grape. We barrel
ferment it and age it in American Oak, creating an
elegant dry white with hints of peach and pear on the
nose and a very long buttery finish. Great match fro
shellfish and lightly seasoned white meats or sauces. |
| LaCrosse |
A unique white
wine made from estate-grown LaCrosse and barrel
fermented. Our winemaker's favorite, with an incredible
pear fragrance, finishing with subtle apricot, citrus
and melon notes. Finished "off-dry". |
| Geisenheim |
GOLD MEDAL WINNER.
Made from the Geisenheim grape, this semi-sweet white
wine has a peppery, pine needle nose, followed by a
sweet, lingering grapefruit and lime taste. Geisenheim
is a good match for lighter fare (cold salads, light
cheeses), Mexican chicken dishes or served after dinner
with dessert. |
| Brianna |
Set on a prime
hilltop location facing the sun, our 100% estate-grown
Brianna is among the first releases ever of this
promising new grape variety. When properly ripened,
Brianna exhibits a tropical fruit aroma that is rare to
find at any price. |
|
Reds |
| Cabernet Sauvignon |
Shipped in fresh
from Lodi, California, our Cabernet is crushed and
fermented here, then barrel aged in new oak for ten
months. This versatile red wine exhibits a classis
cabernet nose. This wine should age very well and is
best served with red meat. |
| Marechal Foch |
An all-Iowa
exclusive. Pronounced "Mare-a-shall Foash", this red is
made from 100% estate-grown grapes. With only three days
of skin contact, the grapes are pressed and allowed to
finish fermenting in barrel, softening and rounding out
the tart cherry flavor of this grape. Serve with a
variety of cheeses, and ham or pork loin with a sweet
marinade. |
| St. Croix |
Our first bottling
of this estate-grown red, Cedar Ridge St. Croix is a
heavy, earthy red with dark cherry flavor, plenty of
mid-palate and a spicy finish that reveals its French
Oak barrel aging. Match with seasoned steaks and aged
cheeses. |
| Five Seasons |
A blend of 5 Iowa
grapes |
|
Sweeter Wines |
| Harvest Blush |
A semi-sweet blend
of grapes and fruit wines, we begin with fresh picked
Concord grapes and blend in our own apple wine to create
a wonderfully fresh, juicy yet soothing drink. Enjoy on
its own, or after a meal. |
| St. Pepin |
Our Cedar Ridge
estate-grown St. Pepin was allowed to fully mature (and
then some!) on vine, resulting in a very sweet dessert
wine with a fresh tropical fruit aroma. Our national
award-winning St. Pepin is available in very limited
supply. |
| Port |
As Iowa's only
winery and distillery, only Cedar Ridge Port is made
from its own wine fortified with its own brandy. This
Port Wine has been held in barrel as long as possible to
concentrate and integrate its profile. It should be a
great pour for the next decade or so. |
